Swiss telecommunications group Swisscom reported an unchanged Q1 profit on Wednesday, missing expectations. Swisscom’s Q1 net profit was 461 million Swiss francs ($379 million), the company said, largely unchanged from the 460 million made in the same period a year ago. Swisscom also said it has agreed to sell Antenna Hungária, its 100% owned Hungarian broadcasting company, to TDF of France for 540 million Swiss francs ($444 million). It had bought the company in 2005 for 392 million Swiss francs. Swisscom said the reason for the sale is that Antenna Hungária hasn’t been able to buy any other broadcasting companies, which was the original plan. (portfolio.hu, reuters.com)
