The new unit was inaugurated in the Food Loft area of the Árkád shopping center in Budapest. The brand’s exclusive Hungarian operator, Fusion-BP Restaurants Kft., is developing the Popeyes network in Hungary.

Fusion-BP Restaurants is wholly owned by The Fusion Group Zrt., which has more than 35 years of experience in hospitality and operations.

“The performance of the first Popeyes unit exceeded all our expectations; Hungarian customers embraced the brand in an extremely short time, and by now the iconic The Chicken Sandwich has become an absolute favorite among the domestic audience,” said László Sümegi, managing director of Fusion-BP Restaurants Kft. “Building on the decades of experience behind us, we are continuing domestic expansion at full speed so that we can bring the brand to even more locations in the future.”

Popeyes is known for chicken marinated for at least 12 hours in an authentic Louisiana Cajun spice blend, then hand-breaded in the restaurant and freshly fried until golden brown. The chain says the result is chicken that is perfectly crispy on the outside and irresistibly juicy on the inside.

The chain has also prepared an exclusive surprise for guests with the Secret Sandwich, which will debut at the second restaurant and will be available first at the new unit.

The interior design of the restaurant in Árkád’s Food Loft brings Popeyes’ Louisiana heritage into a modern, high-quality environment, further strengthening the brand’s distinctive guest experience concept within the shopping center’s offering.
