An exploration well in the TAL block, which MOL operates, flowed at a rate of 2,020 barrels of oil per day and 900 barrels of oil equivalent per day during testing, MTI reported.
Gross production at the TAL block is said to be more than 80,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The discovery is listed as MOLʼs eighth in the TAL block and its 12th in Pakistan, where it has three blocks.
MOLʼs partners in the block are OGDC, PPL, POL and GHPL.
Average daily hydrocarbon production of all of MOLʼs licenses reached 103,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day last year, MTI reported.
