The price of cereals dropped 0.4% and the price of wheat fell by 14%, however, the price of corn was up 8.3%, according to KSH data. The price of fruit was up 25% and that of potatoes 45%, KSH said.
The producer price level of live animals reached 5.8% and that of animal products was 10% lower in the period, KSH data show. The price of milk decreased by 12%, making the procurement price HUF 76/liter in March, HUF 2 lower than in February, KSH added.
In the period of January-March, agricultural producer prices were up 2.8%, as compared to the same period last year. The price of crop products rose by 7.9%, while the price of live animals and animal products dropped by 5.8%. The price of vegetables increased by 20%.
