Kraft Foods Inc., the world’s second biggest coffee buyer will bring its Tassimo beverage machines to Denmark, Norway, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia and other countries, announced Kraft’s European coffee president Hubert Weber in an interview Wednesday, according to Bloomberg.com.

Single-serve coffee will have the potential to provide 80% of coffee sales in the European market within the next 10-15 years, where last year income from the Tassimo beverages in Europe increased by approximately 30%, Weber said.

Kraft currently sells capsules compatible with Sara Lee’s Senseo machines – not with Nespresso.

According to Weber, coffee prices have nearly doubled within the past year, pushing Kraft to raise again the prices of its brands in Europe including Jacobs, Kenco and Carte Noire.
