The Hungarian TV talent show Virtuosos has proven highly successful and will benefit from the support of the Hiventures investment fund to stage three live performances this year, says a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
Pianist Misi Boros will perform on September 7 in the Budapest Arena, while singer Réka Kristóf, winner of the 2017 edition, will give her solo recital on June 20, performed previously in New Yorkʼs Carnegie Hall.
The third event will be the Master Concert on December 30, which will unite some of Hungaryʼs leading classical musicians: cellist István Várdai, pianist János Balázs, singer Erika Miklósa, pianist Gergely Bogányi, and conductor Gergely Kesselyák.
According to the showʼs website, the rights to Virtuosos have been acquired for versions in the U.S. and U.K. by production company Fulwell 73. In addition, Spanish opera legend Plácido Domingo has now become a shareholder of Virtuosos.
