As a partner event of the Hungarian EU Presidency, this internationally renowned conference will gather experts from over 21 countries to explore the future of geothermal energy.

Organized for the second time by White Paper Consulting, the Budapest Geothermal Energy Summit will see top industry experts discuss the most important developments of the geothermal energy market, the latest technological, regulatory, and financial trends, as well as the new opportunities and challenges in geothermal energy.

This year, MOL Group, a leading energy company in Central and Eastern Europe, has joined the event as the Main Sponsor, further elevating the event’s professional quality and importance. In recent months, MOL has won two geothermal exploration permits in Hungary, while INA (member of MOL Group) has also secured two in Croatia. Geothermal energy production is a key focus area for MOL’s recently launched “Low Carbon and New Energies” branch, which was established within the Exploration and Production division to develop sustainable energy solutions. At the Budapest Geothermal Energy Summit, David Kapes, head of MOL Group E&P Low Carbon and New Energies, will present the progress of the company’s first geothermal projects and how they will contribute to the greening of MOL’s activities.

The Budapest Geothermal Energy Summit is the region’s leading conference on geothermal energy, and this year it will be held as a official partner event of the Hungarian EU Presidency. The internationally recognized conference has already attracted participants from over 21 countries.

The Summit will be opened by Csaba Lantos, Hungary’s Minister of Energy, who will present Hungary’s geothermal energy strategy, the current state of the market, and its prospects.
