The event convenes the industry’s leading voices, from policymakers and investors to engineers and innovators, to explore the enormous potential and critical role of geothermal energy in the energy transition.
The event will focus on the most pressing issues facing the sector. Expert speakers will cover global and European market outlooks, technological innovations, regulatory challenges, financing opportunities, and the role of geothermal energy in electricity generation, heating, and cooling.
Special focus will be placed on the CEE region. Minister of Energy Csaba Lantos will open the conference. Miklós Antics, president of the European Geothermal Energy Council, one of the most influential European experts in the sector, will discuss the opportunities and challenges of the European geothermal market.
Beata Kępińska, president of the Polish Geothermal Society, will address the development of the Polish market. Martina Tuschl, director of the Geothermal Energy Department at the Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency, will present investments and the regulatory environment in Croatia.
Prof. Dr. Inga S. Moeck of the University of Göttingen will provide insights into the latest research directions and experiences from German geothermal developments. Alexander Wallisch, board member of Euroheat & Power, will discuss how geothermal energy fits into the future of urban energy supply. Luca Xodo, president of ETIP-Geothermal, will give an overview of the research and development priorities of the European innovation platform.
Leading Hungarian companies will also be represented, and Bence Gonda, Vice President for Strategic Affairs at the Supervisory Authority for Regulatory Affairs, will represent the Hungarian regulatory perspective.
