Of the 1,186 foreign citizens who obtained permits to buy real estate in Hungary last year, 445 were Russians, data from the Public Administration and Justice Ministry show. Chinese citizens accounted for 150 of the buyers and Ukrainians for 128. The foreign citizens bought 1,110 pieces of real estate last year. In 2011, a few more than 1,000 foreigners bought property in Hungary.
