Nominations for the 2022 edition of the Atlas Award are now officially open. The award was created to provide public recognition for leaders and business people that have distinguished themselves by making substantial efforts to render their enterprise sustainable, constantly coming up with new and innovative ideas, all of this by keeping in mind the well-being of their partners and employees.

Nominations will remain open until September 18. This year, it will be possible to nominate more than one person. A jury will decide the winner between the candidates who received the most nominations amnd reveal the winner on October 6.

Award founder ITL Group says that the Atlas Award is intended to become the annual public recognition of those entrepreneurs who are good examples of the group's distinctive values.

"We believe that leaders with ethical, sustainable, and creative behaviors will shape a better world. This is why we want to reward them," ITL Group managing director Alessandro Farina explained.

The prize's first edition was held on June 7, 2019, during the Budapest Business Party. The winner of the first Atlas Award was Gabriella Ruff, owner of HR company Karrier Hungária Kft, for her ethical, sustainable, and creative approach to entrepreneurship.

"At the award ceremony, Alessandro was very nice as he told me, 'Gabriella you won by the number and quality of the answers. The nominations for you came with very long explanations of why the person was nominating you. It was heart-warming to read them'," Ruff noted.

"To win the statue of the Atlas Award means a lot to me, and I am very proud to win it; however, the journey which has led me to get the award is at least as precious for my heart: the favorable opinion of my customers," she added.

In addition to the award, the launch of a new platform called Atlas World is aiming to help entrepreneurs find a community of like-minded people with whom they share the same values. There will be three networking events for the Atlas World community on July 6, September 6, and October 6.
