UEFA announced today that it has reached an exclusive agreement with MTV in Hungary for the rights to all 31 matches of the UEFA EURO 2012 final tournament, according to the official web page of the association.
The public service broadcaster MTV will ensure extensive live free-to-air coverage of 27 matches and delayed transmission of the four overlapping matches from the group stage on its main channel m1 for the tournament taking place next summer in Poland and Ukraine.
In addition, MTV will deliver comprehensive coverage of the tournament via Magyar Radio and its internet and mobile platforms.
Commenting on the agreement, UEFA said: “UEFA is delighted to continue its relationship with MTV, a long-standing and experienced partner in broadcasting the UEFA European Football Championship since 1976 and other major sporting events.”
