Deutsch reportedly said that he is not the supporter of “equal” treatment, and that disabled athletes should “settle for less” money awarded for their sports achievements, online portal 444.hu reported. Deutsch suggested that disabled athletes should receive 70% of what their “able-bodied” counterparts are awarded, 444.hu added.
Deutsch replaced former president Zsolt Gömöri, who resigned after the media reported that he was involved in misappropriation of funds. No charges were ever lodged against Gömöri.
