Company officials blamed the failure of the tender on the deadline – set for January 2, right after the holidays – and the fact that it was to be assessed together with a separate tender for the plots on which the two farms are located. A new tender will be called for the units, the officials confirmed.
Bábolna Zrt called the tender for its farms in Kerteskő and Szendrő, in the north-east of Hungary, in November 2006, setting a minimum price of Ft 200 million for the assets at Kerteskő and Ft 472 million for the assets at Szendrő. (Econews, Bloomberg, Világgazdaság)
