The Budapest Stock Exchange’s blue-chip BUX index opened Friday trade down 0.09% at 22,814.01.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Friday’s opening bell: Oil and gas company MOL was down 0.15% at HUF 22,860;
Drug company Richter was down 0.11% at HUF 35,760;
OTP Bank was down 0.08% at HUF 6,020;
Magyar Telekom was up 0.19% at HUF 535.
On Thursday, the BUX closed down 0.97% to 22,835.24 on a turnover of HUF 17.64 billion.
Zoltán Varga of QUAESTOR Zrt commented that OTP Bank’s share value dropped close to weak-side resistance at HUF 6,000, while that of MOL fell below weak-side resistance of HUF 23,000 on Thursday, noting that the next few sessions will therefore be crucial in determining the future course of trade on the BSE heavyweights.
