The Budapest Stock Exchange’s main BUX index opened up 1.06% at 23,020.62 on Thursday.
OTP Bank rose 1.21% to HUF 6,120, oil and gas company MOL gained 1.06% to HUF 22,900, drug maker Richter advanced 1.06% to HUF 35,880 and Magyar Telekom opened up 0.92% at HUF 546.
Analysts interviewed by MTI said they expected a positive correction on the Budapest bourse after the BUX closed down 1.22% at 22,779.23 on Wednesday on turnover of HUF 14.5 billion.
