The National Association of Workers Councils (MOSz) have proposed a HUF 115,000 minimum wage and a HUF 120,000 minimum wage for skilled laborers for 2013 at the Government Permanent Consultation Forum, daily Magyar Nemzet said on Friday.
MOSz said the wage rise must compensate for tax raises for employees earning less than the average wage.
The paper noted that unions association MSzOSz earlier said the minimum wage should be raised to at least HUF 100,00 and the minimum wage for skilled workers to HUF 116,000 in 2013. To prevent average wages from falling in real terms in 2013, gross wages should be raised by at least 5%, but more for workers earning less than the average, MSzOSz said.
