OTP Bank dropped 1.22% to HUF 4,050 after Hungary’s Constitutional Court decided that summer legislation under which banks, including OTP, must make refunds to clients was constitutional. The stock gained more than 5% on Monday after the Sunday’s announcement of the market rate conversion. Turnover of the share dropped to HUF 2.5 bln of the HUF 5.8 bln session total.
Oil and gas company MOL fell 1.09% after a similar-size rise and ended the session at HUF 11,805 on turnover of HUF 475 mln.
Drugmaker Richter fell 3.17%, also matching Monday’s increase, to HUF 3,728 on turnover of HUF 867 mln.
Magyar Telekom was up 0.87% at HUF 349 on turnover of HUF 427 mln. Elsewhere in the region, Warsaw’s WIG 20 fell 0.28% and the Prague PX fell 0.15%. Western Europe’s biggest indices were all higher late on Tuesday.
