Sales of Retail food rose by an adjusted 3.4%, while non-food sales slowed by 5.8%. As compared to the previous month both slowed. The twelve-month growth of vehicle-fuel sales picked up, in contrast, to an adjusted 8.5% from 6.5% in the previous month.
In the period of January-November, retail sales rose by 5.1% according to both calendar year-adjusted and unadjusted data. However, excluding the changes in data collection, which made January-June food sales figures incomparable, the rise was even slower: an adjusted 3.8% and an unadjusted 3.9%.
KSH is scheduled to update the October data on its website on January 29.
