The development of the 10,500 sqm plant, which will produce reagents used in the pharmaceutical industry, is expected to create 100 jobs, out of which 60% are to be filled by those possessing a graduate degrees, James Borzi, the groupʼs vice president for global manufacturing, said, according to MTI.
The company currently employs 650 people in the country.
BD Medical-Pharmaceutical Systems opened a €100 mln syringe plant in the Tatabánya industrial park in 2010, and spent a further HUF 3 bln to expand the plant in 2014, MTI said.
According to the news agency, The company had revenue of HUF 11.8 bln in its 2013/14 business year, with exports accounting for close to HUF 10 bln.
