The countryʼs external financing capacity – calculated as a combined surplus of the current and capital accounts – came to €1.212 billion in September. Based on the financial account, the September external financing capacity was €1.031 bln.
Net transfers from the European Union reached €543.7 mln as a balance of €581.1 mln inflows and €37.4 mln outflows in September, the accrual-based figures show.
Some €353.6 mln of both the net and gross inflows was in capital transfers.
The MNB started releasing the monthly balance of payments report in July 2014. The monthly data include estimates and are available on the website only until the publication of the respective quarterly figures.
