Citing data from growers' association FruitVeb, agroinform.hu noted that the apple crop fell to around 300,000 tonnes from 520,000 in 2021.

The peach and apricot crops "well exceeded" earlier years, with orchards producing approximately 25,000 tonnes of apricots. Last year's apricot crop was a little under 12,000 tonnes, according to data from the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

Agroinform said the pear crop rose to 17,000 tonnes from 16,000 tonnes a year earlier, and the sweet cherry crop was around 10,000 tonnes. According to KSH data, a little under 9,000 tonnes of sweet cherries were harvested in Hungary in 2021.

The website wrote that the sour cherry crop was about 60,000 tonnes, similar to previous years, but only part of the harvest met the 18 mm size requirement for industrial processing.
