The financial technology company announced the transaction Wednesday, reporting more than 80 million retail customers worldwide.
Glade Brook Capital Partners, Coatue, Durable Capital Partners, T. Rowe Price Associates and Baillie Gifford led the transaction, which attracted both existing and new investors. Revolut did not disclose the amount raised.
The company said employees were again given an opportunity to share in the value they had helped create.
“Every bank we launch means more people get a better way to manage their money, wherever they live. Our team makes that happen, and employee ownership has been central to our culture from day one. That’s why we’ve once again given them the chance to share in the value they’ve created, as we work relentlessly towards our next milestone of serving 100 million customers,” said founder and CEO Nik Storonsky.
International Banking Expansion
Since the start of 2026, Revolut has launched banks in the United Kingdom, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand. It has also secured banking licenses in France, Colombia and Argentina, alongside conditional approval for a U.S. national bank charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
These developments build on its existing European banking operations across 30 European Economic Area markets.
Revolut’s revenue rose 46% to USD 6 bln in 2025, while pretax profit increased 57% to USD 2.3 bln. Its pretax profit margin reached 38%.
The company’s long-term ambition is to serve more than 100 million active customers across over 100 countries.
“The milestones achieved this year have been several years in the making. They allow us to strengthen our digital banking proposition in our core markets and pave the way for it reaching millions more customers beyond Europe. The confidence of our investors, both existing and new, reflects Revolut’s unique opportunity to build the first truly global bank,” said CFO Victor Stinga.
