The multiyear project will increase production and logistics capacity and support further export growth.
The investment will also introduce new technologies and packaging solutions, strengthening Hungary’s role as a key Central European hub for Coca-Cola HBC, the company said.
The announcement coincides with the Dunaharaszti center’s 30th anniversary. Coca-Cola HBC Magyarország operates two production plants and eight logistics distribution centers, serving approximately 50,000 retail and hospitality partners and exporting to 17 markets.
Over the past three decades, the company has invested around HUF 140 bln in Hungary. Its network includes approximately 830 Hungary-based suppliers, accounting for about two-thirds of its total supplier spending.
“Our Dunaharaszti center has demonstrated Hungary’s strength as a manufacturing base for 30 years, as well as the decisive role that talent, commitment and partnerships play in our success. I thank generations of colleagues, customers and partners for helping us reach this important milestone,” said Zoran Bogdanovic, CEO of Coca-Cola HBC Group.
“This record investment reflects our continued confidence in the country and will help us serve our trade partners and consumers even more efficiently, improve our operations and support future growth.”
Economic Contribution
The Hungarian Coca-Cola system, comprising Coca-Cola Magyarország Szolgáltató Kft. and Coca-Cola HBC Magyarország Kft., contributed HUF 286.1 bln to the Hungarian economy through its value chain in 2024, equivalent to 0.4% of GDP, according to the company.
Tax payments generated across the value chain totaled HUF 154.7 bln, representing approximately 0.5% of the state’s total tax revenue.
The system also supported more than 15,100 direct and indirect jobs, equivalent to 0.3% of employment in Hungary.
“We opened our Dunaharaszti production plant 30 years ago. Since then, Coca-Cola HBC Magyarország has become the country’s largest soft drinks company, serving thousands of customers every day and working with hundreds of Hungary-based suppliers,” said Ágnes Kovács, managing director of Coca-Cola HBC Magyarország.
“We are proud of the role we play in Hungary’s economy and communities. This anniversary is an opportunity to recognize the work and contributions of everyone who has shaped our company and to continue creating value in Hungary in the decades ahead.”
Community Initiatives
Alongside the investment, the company is marking the anniversary with community programs.
Approximately 17,000 young people in Hungary have participated in its #ÉnJövőm program since its launch, developing skills and confidence to help them enter the labor market, the company said.
A EUR 100,000 donation from the Coca-Cola HBC Foundation will also finance a nationwide initiative with the Hungarian Food Bank Association, reaching people in need through 30 local charitable organizations.
