Card transactions made during the disruption, including refunds, may take several days to appear in account balances.

In an email sent to users Thursday, Revolut apologized for the interruption and said customers’ money and personal data remained safe throughout the incident.

“The issue was resolved the same day, and Revolut is operating as normal again,” the company said.

Revolut warned that customers who made card transactions during the outage, including those involving card refunds, could experience delays before their balances update and the transactions appear in their accounts. The company said it was working to process these transactions as quickly as possible.

“We know how important it is that Revolut works when you need it, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused,” it added.

As the BBJ reported earlier, users experienced problems with card payments, transfers, ATM withdrawals and currency exchange on Oct. 20. Revolut’s status page initially showed services as operational before subsequently acknowledging widespread disruptions affecting personal and business functions.
