Recruitment platform Profession’s research found that a quarter of Generation Z and Generation Y employees were completely dissatisfied with their workplace. Among Generation X respondents, nearly 20% reported dissatisfaction.

Profession.hu said employers can directly influence many of the factors affecting workplace well-being, but the severity of these problems often remains unclear to decision-makers.

Internal employee surveys can reveal perceptions of management communication or development opportunities. Without external benchmarks, however, companies may struggle to determine how their results compare with those of other employers.

The company’s Profession Kiváló Munkahely service aims to address that gap through anonymous employee feedback and comparisons with other participating businesses. Profession.hu describes it as an organizational development system based on international HR practices.

The assessment covers employee satisfaction and engagement, clarity of tasks and expectations, working conditions, information sharing, work-life balance, management practices, development opportunities, psychological safety and compensation. On compensation, it examines both satisfaction with pay and whether employees consider it competitive.

“Mapping employee satisfaction and engagement can provide important guidance for corporate decision-makers, but our experience shows that questionnaires developed internally often have shortcomings concerning methodology or independence that can distort the results. It is also often unclear whether the results are outstanding or less successful compared with those of other employers,” said Kinga Tamaskovics, HR business partner and organizational development specialist at Profession.hu.

“The Profession Kiváló Munkahely service therefore provides a detailed assessment of organizational well-being and allows results to be compared nationally by company size, region and industry, among other criteria. The platform therefore not only aggregates employee opinions but also provides participating companies with a relevant basis for comparison. This makes it possible to identify strengths and areas where intervention would be worthwhile more accurately. We are committed to supporting employers that make informed, data-driven HR decisions, which is why we are providing the full service free of charge until Oct. 30,” she added.

Profession.hu said understanding employees’ experiences is increasingly important for companies seeking to retain skilled staff as well as recruit new employees.

Businesses with outstanding results can also earn the Profession Kiváló Munkahely certification, which they may display digitally in job advertisements on the platform for one year. Based on employee feedback, the certification is intended to give prospective applicants an additional reference point when assessing employers.
