The annual figure matched the preliminary reading, while the monthly increase was adjusted for seasonal and working-day effects.

Transport equipment production, accounting for 27% of manufacturing output, rose 18%, with motor vehicle manufacturing up 35%. Computer, electronic and optical production increased 19.7%, the strongest growth among manufacturing subsections, supported by a 46% jump in computers and peripheral equipment.

However, output declined in most manufacturing subsections. Electrical equipment production fell 6%, including a 15.2% drop in batteries and accumulators. Food, beverage and tobacco output decreased 2.3%, while coke and refined petroleum production recorded the steepest decline, at 14%.

Industrial export volumes rose 6.3%, with transport equipment exports up 15.7% and computer, electronic and optical exports increasing 36%. Domestic industrial sales edged up 0.9%.

New orders in the manufacturing divisions surveyed grew 17.8%, driven by a 20% increase in export orders. The total stock of orders at the end of July stood 46% above its level a year earlier.

In January-July, industrial production increased 2.7%. Export sales, accounting for 65% of total sales, rose 3.3%, while domestic sales fell 2%. Production declined in seven of the 13 manufacturing subsections, underscoring the uneven performance behind the overall expansion during the period.
