Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary (CCCH)
The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary hosted a memorable Canada Day celebration at Pasarét Bisztró in Budapest on July 6, bringing together members of the Canadian and Hungarian business communities, diplomats and other guests. The event opened with a welcome speech by CCCH president Nicholas Sarvári, who greeted guests and highlighted the importance of the occasion for the chamber community. The evening offered an opportunity for networking, informal discussions and celebration, reflecting the close and long-standing relationship between Canada and Hungary. Guests from the business and diplomatic communities gathered to mark Canada Day in a festive atmosphere centered on friendship, cooperation and the Canadian spirit.
For the CCCH, the celebration was another important occasion to bring together partners and members who help strengthen economic, cultural and personal ties between the two countries. The evening also carried special significance as attendees bade farewell to Ambassador of Canada to Hungary François Lafrenière, who is concluding his tenure. During his posting here, the ambassador has been a dedicated supporter of stronger Canadian-Hungarian relations and an active partner of the CCCH. Guests expressed their sincere gratitude for his commitment, leadership and friendship, and thanked him for his contribution to deepening cooperation between Canada and Hungary. The celebration therefore served not only as a festive Canada Day gathering, but also as a fitting farewell to an ambassador who played an important role in supporting the Canadian community and bilateral relations in Hungary.

Italian Chamber of Commerce for Hungary (CCIU)
The Italian Chamber of Commerce for Hungary and the Chamber of Commerce of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén will host an Italian Business Day event in Miskolc in September. Bringing together the Italian Embassy in Hungary and the Italian Trade Agency, the event will focus on market opportunities, regulatory frameworks, and successful cross-border business experiences. The conference will also feature presentations by Italian and Hungarian companies that have successfully expanded internationally, offering an economic outlook on Italy-Hungary relations and highlighting current trends, investment opportunities, and future prospects for bilateral trade. The event will be held in Italian and Hungarian with simultaneous translation.
Beyond the conference sessions, the Italian Business Day will offer participants the opportunity to engage directly with companies during a dedicated business meeting session to encourage dialogue and create opportunities for future partnerships. The Italian Business Day is an important program for companies seeking to understand both markets better, exchange best practices, and build lasting economic connections between Italy and the Hungarian region.
