The number of unemployed people was 209,000 in May, KSH said.
In the March-May period, the average number of employed people aged 15-74 was 4.640 mln, 33,000 fewer than a year earlier.
The number of employed men was unchanged at 2.480 mln, while the number of employed women fell by 34,000 to 2.161 mln.
A total of 4.448 mln people worked in the domestic primary labor market, 53,000 fewer than in the same period of the previous year. The number of public workers was 71,000, while 121,000 people worked abroad.
Among people aged 15-64, the employment rate was essentially unchanged from a year earlier at 75%. The rate was 79.3% for men and 70.6% for women.
Unemployment averaged 208,000 in the March-May period, with the jobless rate at 4.3%.
The number of unemployed men was 109,000, while the number of unemployed women stood at 99,000. The unemployment rate was 4.2% for men and 4.4% for women.
The average duration of job search was 13.3 months. Some 31.7% of unemployed people had been looking for a job for less than three months, down 10.4 percentage points from the same period of the previous year.
The share of those seeking work for four to 11 months rose by 6.7 percentage points to 31.4%, while the proportion of people who had been looking for work for at least a year increased by 3.7 percentage points to 36.9%.
According to administrative data from the National Employment Service, the number of registered job seekers at the end of May fell by 3.5% year-on-year to 215,000.
