The government is launching two new loan schemes for micro and small enterprises with a total of HUF 321 billion funding this year.

The state will cover 100% of the administration costs and in most cases guarantee fees, so the schemes represent predictable and low-cost financing, Nagy’s ministry said in a statement.

Nagy said up to HUF 5 million of financing is available for micro firms through the “Green Road” scheme, including start-ups, while micro- and small enterprises with at least one completed business year will be eligible for loans of up to HUF 50 mln.

Companies can apply for the free-purpose loans without using any of their own funds. Applications will be accepted starting from early March, Nagy said.

The new financing opportunities serve to improve the liquidity of small-scale agricultural enterprises that have more difficulty accessing funds, stabilize their operations and ensure the continuous supply of local producer markets, he added.
