Ferenc Vágujhelyi said NAV’s risk analysis tools were capable of immediately flagging invoices issued by companies with minimum staff, few material assets and an office presence “only on paper”.

This year, NAV plans audits of event organisers, express delivery companies, e-commerce platforms and influencers who try to hide their income, he said.

NAV will also scrutinise the tax compliance of companies in the construction industry, as well as sellers of vehicle and vehicle parts, and IT products, he added.

NAV conducted more than 132,000 audits in 2025, according to the report.
