Speaking at the Home Start Expo, Panyi said there are almost 30,000 young homeowners that have already moved in to their new homes or will do so in the coming weeks.

Panyi said since the launch of the scheme the share of first-time home buyers in real estate transactions has increased from 15-20% to 35-40%.

He noted that because of the program renting prices fell by 1.5% nationwide in the fourth quarter of 2025 and this effect is expected to be lasting.

Panyi said that with the scheme over 50,000 new homes could be built in Hungary in the next five years.
