In a statement issued by his ministry, Szijjártó said agreements on new investments would be finalised with the executives of three U.S. companies in the course of the day.

“The three investments have a combined value of HUF 21.5 bln and will get HUF 4 bln of government support. They will create more than 200 jobs for highly qualified workers,” he added.

He said Becton Dickinson would build a sterilization base next to its syringe plant in Környe, cleaning products company Scrub Daddy would build a plant in Martély, and Formlabs would bring 3D printer software development to the country.

Szijjártó said investments in Hungary by U.S. companies would reach a record HUF 190 bln in 2025, supported by a new Hungarian-American economic cooperation program reached during Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s recent talks in Washington, D.C.
