The opening ceremony at the Forest Center Debrecen office building was accompanied by a major business conference, where local economic leaders, including representatives from the City of Debrecen, the University of Debrecen and PwC experts, discussed current business and tax issues, artificial intelligence, e-commerce best practices and the implementation of pay transparency rules in Hungary.
“Debrecen’s goal is to operate as a regional business hub where international and domestic companies shape the future in close cooperation. In this environment, PwC aims to create and support professional synergies and collaborations that ensure sustainable growth in the long term, thereby increasing the competitiveness of companies and the region,” said Tünde Kis, director of PwC Hungary and head of the Debrecen office, in her opening speech.
“At PwC, we believe that trust, cooperation and the combination of knowledge and practice represent the foundation of economic success. For us, Debrecen is an outstanding opportunity: this is where the future is being built at an unparalleled pace. And we are taking an active role in the region’s dynamic development,” emphasized László Radványi, CEO of PwC Hungary.
In addition to strengthening business capabilities in the region, PwC also places high importance on its partnership with the University of Debrecen.
PwC Hungary experts participate in education through guest lectures and launch training programs to develop essential competencies in finance, accounting, and taxation, the company noted.
