The Tork PeakServe Automatic — introduced by Essity’s professional hygiene division — dispenses at least 500,000 towels per battery set, helping cleaning teams operate more efficiently and ensuring users a reliable hand-drying experience.

“Facility managers depend on Tork PeakServe to reduce run-outs during peak times, allowing them to save time spent on constantly monitoring and restocking dispensers,” said Géza Nagy, commercial director South East Europe and UA CIS at Essity Professional Hygiene. “With one battery set lasting up to five years and dispensing at least 500,000 towels, Tork PeakServe Automatic alleviates even more pressure from businesses. Cleaning staff can work more efficiently, users enjoy reliable towel dispensing right when they need it, and the restroom line keeps moving.”

More than half of restroom visitors now prefer fully automated solutions, which they perceive as more hygienic. However, many electronic dispensers on the market fall short due to short battery life and frequent jams. The new PeakServe Automatic aims to eliminate those issues with the longest battery performance in its class and 99.99% jam-free operation. Along with hands-free activation, users are provided a towel in less than a second to speed up restroom flow.

For cleaning staff, the system’s high-capacity design means fewer refill cycles and less time spent on restroom checks. The PeakServe portfolio uses compressed towel bundles that allow twice as many sheets to be stored, serving as many as 600 more guests before a top-up is needed. Staff can also refill at any time — a significant operational improvement over roll-based systems that require full depletion first. All PeakServe dispensers use the same refill type, simplifying inventory and logistics.

Sustainability features played a major role in development. One-at-a-time dispensing helps reduce towel waste, while compressed refills cut both transport needs and storage footprint. The carbon-reduced towel refills introduced in 2025 lower overall environmental impact by 22%, and the new dispenser consumes significantly less energy than comparable systems due to its extended battery life.

Tork says the PeakServe Automatic is designed to enhance the restroom experience for all stakeholders — users, cleaners and facility operators — while supporting more sustainable hygiene management across high-traffic environments.
