The agreement follows a binding Memorandum of Understanding signed with Eutelsat in August 2025.
Under the contract, Eutelsat grants 4iG SDT an exclusive 15-year license to use a geostationary orbital position and associated frequency resources, enabling it to operate the HUGEO telecommunications satellite after launch.
The companies stated that specific details regarding the orbital position, frequency rights, and satellite coverage areas will remain confidential.
As part of the HUSAT initiative – the largest privately initiated and funded satellite program in Hungary and Central and Eastern Europe – 4iG SDT plans to launch one geostationary telecommunications satellite (HUGEO) and eight low-Earth orbit Earth observation satellites (HULEO) by 2032, positioning itself as a key regional player in the space industry.
