The most frequently cited reasons were new job opportunities (41%), the EU’s contribution to economic growth (33%), and improved cooperation between member states (27%).
Some 61% percent of respondents also said the EU should play a greater role in protecting against global crises and security threats, while 88% believe member states should act more unitedly.
Additionally, 82% said the EU requires more tools to address today’s global challenges. In terms of strategic priorities for strengthening the EU’s international standing, Hungarian respondents pointed to competitiveness, economy and industry (36%) and food security and agriculture (35%).
When asked what the European Parliament should prioritize, most cited inflation and rising living costs (46%), followed by economic support and job creation (37%), and enhanced public health support (33%).
