The agreement, signed on July 3, follows Waberer’s victory in MVM’s public tender announced in December 2024. The framework covers a wide range of logistics services, from raw materials and steel structures to solar panels, cable reels, scaffolding, and maintenance equipment. It also includes both scheduled and ad hoc deliveries, with round-the-clock emergency capability for outage-related situations.
The project will be implemented in three phases, during which Waberer’s will assess the operations of MVM’s subsidiaries and optimize the supply chain to ensure efficiency and reliability.
“The Waberer’s Group is constantly looking for new opportunities that promote sustainable growth and broaden the scope of complex logistics services we provide. This partnership with MVM is the result,” said Zsolt Barna, chairman and CEO of Waberer’s International. “The energy sector is a key industry, and supply security is of paramount importance. This shows that Waberer’s, as a complex logistics provider, can work with large corporations such as MVM. In the future, we aim to build similar partnerships with other companies in Hungary and the region.”
Waberer’s, listed in the premium category of the Budapest Stock Exchange, has set a goal of becoming the leading complex logistics provider in Central and Eastern Europe in the medium term. According to its strategic plan, the company expects revenue to reach EUR 1.7 billion and EBIT to surpass EUR 100 million by 2031.
For MVM, the collaboration fits into its long-term integration strategy. “The MVM Group is Hungary’s second-largest and Central Europe’s sixth-largest company group, a key player in the national energy system,” said József Tamáska, deputy CEO of MVM. “For us, logistics is not just about transportation but a strategic area that supports energy supply reliability and the efficiency of investments. This is why it is especially important that we can rely on the complex services of Waberer’s Logistics, a company with international experience, advanced infrastructure and modern IT solutions.”
Tamáska added that MVM’s internal shared service centers play an increasingly important role in maximizing synergies across its subsidiaries, and logistics has become a priority field in ensuring those synergies.
The companies said the partnership will not only improve operational security and efficiency but also strengthen both organizations’ ability to respond to emergencies and to scale logistics services in line with Hungary’s growing energy demands.
