The working day–adjusted index matched the raw figure, indicating the drop was not due to calendar effects. On a monthly basis, output fell 1.2% compared to May, based on seasonally and working day–adjusted data.

The contraction affected most manufacturing subsectors, with some notable exceptions. Modest increases were recorded in the production of food products, beverages, and tobacco; computer, electronic, and optical products; and electrical equipment.

However, these gains were offset by a significant decline in the manufacture of transport equipment, one of the largest contributors to industrial output.

In the January–June period, overall industrial production was down 3.9% compared to the first half of 2024.

According to KSH, industrial output—based on seasonally and working day–adjusted indices—was 1.2% lower in June than in the previous month.
