According to MTI, MNB said that Nagy will fill the role from July for two and a half years, and the position can be renewed once.

The central bank noted that the decision helps further strengthen the existing professional cooperation with the European authority and other national supervisors.

MNB noted that through joint professional work within EIOPA it was able to increase the customer value of domestic life insurance policies by reducing costs and providing information on their performance.

MNB said it has conducted a thematic study based on EIOPA’s warning regarding the cost structure of credit insurance policies and is now preparing a recommendation to share experiences with market players in order to spread more customer-friendly sales practices.
