Founded in 2023 by Barbara Fazekas, Tamás Kökény, and Barbara Varga-Baráth, the company focuses on AI-driven digital product development and has aimed at international markets from the beginning. The startup, which initially relied on the founders’ professional networks, is now building its business through scalable, independent sales channels.

Its ownership structure is also unusual for the Hungarian market: two-thirds of the company is female-owned, with the Barbaras primarily responsible for strategy, sales, and team leadership.

“Our goal from the very beginning has been to sell outstanding-quality Hungarian IT expertise on the international market. We’ve assembled world-class digital product development teams that can hold their own anywhere — many didn’t believe this would be possible in a single step right after launching, but so far, the numbers prove us right,” said Barbara Fazekas, CEO of Bobcats Coding.

“We’re building a global business culture — our teams work seamlessly on cross-border projects along the Colorado–Lisbon–Budapest axis, where the 7–8 hour time difference is actually an advantage, not a drawback. While our American clients are sleeping, we’re already focusing on the next day’s tasks,” she added.

The company’s primary market is the United States, particularly the state of Colorado, where international marketing efforts have helped attract new clients. Their services include IT product management, product design, UX design and research, end-to-end development, IT product support and testing, as well as data engineering.

Bobcats Coding’s success has also been boosted by its eight self-organized international events and its AI handbooks, which have performed well in global competition. The AI innovation guides — aimed at corporate decision-makers — offer practical advice for strategic planning and risk assessment for businesses exploring artificial intelligence.

More than half of the company’s revenue now comes from projects built on these AI strategies.
