In a statement on Monday, the ministry said Magyar Eximbank would offer businesses investment and working capital credit to boost companies’ export capacity.
The working capital loan is available at a rate of 4.21% for euro credit and 5.21% for forint loans. Borrowers may take out up to EUR 2.5 million or HUF 1 bln.
The investment loan may be used for acquisitions of majority stakes in Hungarian or European businesses.
The credit carries a rate of 3.7%-5.7% for euro loans and 5.2%-7.2% for forint ones. Loan size is capped at EUR 15 mln or HUF 6 bln.
The products are expected to mobilize another HUF 250 bln.
