The National Economy Ministry and the Culture and Innovation Ministry said on Wednesday that the HUF 70 billion project launched in 2021 was aimed to support competence development and training to help workers adapt flexibly to structural changes, technological development and changing labor market needs and to improve productivity.

In the first three phases, subsidies of more than HUF 23 bln were allocated, of which businesses spent HUF 13 bln directly on employee training and the remaining amount on wages for the working hours lost during training.

In the fourth round, the range of those eligible will be expanded, eligible training hourly fees will increase, and the maximum support amount for micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises will rise to HUF 100 million from HUF 75 mln.
