Hungary’s unemployment rate stood at 4.2% in July, level with the rate in June but up from 3.9% 12 months earlier, according to the latest data from the Central Statistics Office (KSH).
The rate covers unemployment among people between the ages of 15 and 74.
In absolute terms, there were 209,400 unemployed in July, 800 fewer than in June but 15,800 more than twelve months earlier.
The rolling three-month average jobless rate stood at 4.2% in July, edging down from 4.3% in June but up from 4% twelve months earlier.
The monthly jobless rate for the 15- to 64-year-old age group stood at 4.2% in July, inching down from 4.3% in June but up from 3.9% a year earlier.
