HUF 3.9 billion of the money would go to renovating tram and rapid suburban rail tracks. Another HUF 4 billion would be used to buy new buses and renovate existing ones.
HUF 1.7 billion would be used to modernize BKV’s trams and HUF 2.3 billion would go to installing a GPS-based passenger information system, partly financed by EU funds.
The local council is expected to decide on BKV’s funding for 2011 at a meeting on March 23.
