Invented in Hungary takes a deep look at the innovators looking to add value to Hungary’s economy. Companies such as Festipay, which is expanding its presence in the Middle East, or institutions like the Hungarian Center of Excellence for Molecular Medicine (HCEMM), which is busy building a computing powerhouse in Szeged.

Big pharma firm MSD is deeply involved in collaboration and innovation in healthcare research and education in Hungary. Underlying that is the importance of partnerships with medical universities, healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and even other pharmaceutical companies, and, among other things, on the potential of data analytics and AI in healthcare.

Or there is Medicor, playing a crucial role in leading the charge of cutting-edge research and high-quality manufacturing in prenatal care. Or how about Denxpert, a Hungarian startup specializing in environmental, health, safety, and sustainability software that has just won a substantial seed funding round?

Somewhat more mature in market terms, Arenim Technologies has set out to defeat the threat of ‘Encryptogeddon.’ At the same time, PCB Design, courtesy of its march into space tech, promises to borrow from TV’s Star Trek series “to boldly go where no one has gone before.” Or very few Hungarians, at any rate.

Looking to help the best and most groundbreaking initiatives find their way to market, the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH) aims to help Hungary’s best innovators become even better.
