The test track is a huge investment that will primarily be used for driverless cars, Orbán said, adding that no track of its kind exists within a 500 km radius of Hungary, 24.hu reported.
During the conference, Orbán also announced the governmentʼs plans to reduce the VAT on internet services from 27% to 18% by next year and possibly to 5% at a later date depending on GDP growth, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
Such a significant cut to the VAT rate would significantly boost the viability of the digital technology sector, the prime minister added, according to MTI.
