Szijjártó informed national news service MTI that he had signed a bilateral trade agreement with Deputy Foreign Minister Luis Porto aimed at increasing Hungary’s machinery exports to Uruguay and a bilateral education agreement with Deputy Minister of Culture and Education Oscar Gomez establishing 25 scholarships for Uruguayan students at Hungarian universities beginning in the fall of 2014.
Szijjártó noted that the value of bilateral trade between Hungary and Uruguay rose fourfold to $36 million in 2012.
