Szijjártó told the meeting that Hungary's economy is one of the most open in the world and its government has always supported "free and fair" global trade.
"We have always backed free and fair global trade, with as few obstacles as possible, as well as the free flow of capital and free and fair competition for investments," he said.
He added that Hungary's economic strategy is "based on mutual respect" and the country does not discriminate against investments that come from various regions.
Hungary aims to become a "meeting point" between big companies in the West and in the East, in areas such as the automotive industry, he said.
Returning to a world in which two "completely isolated economic blocs" are established is the "worst-case scenario" for Hungary, he added.
