Gas transportation infrastructure development has been hampered by Romania and Croatia not completing the necessary investments for interconnectors despite EU and bilateral agreements, said Szijjártó.
The minister again stressed the importance of a strategic large capacity gas pipeline linking Turkey with Central European countries.
Szijjártó promised there would be no utility price increases in Hungary and they were working with the EU on an agreement to ensure this.
Maros Sefcovic said he understands the governmentʼs careful approach to the matter and their need to protect vulnerable consumers. Consumer protection is also part of the EUʼs energy policy, he added.
