National Economy Ministry state secretary Zsolt Becsey reviewed Samsung Electronics Magyar’s use of government subsidies granted earlier and discussed the possibility of making more such support available in the future during a visit to the company’s base in Jászfényszaru (C Hungary).
Becsey gave a positive assessment of the South Korean-owned company’s use of state subsidies granted earlier, saying Samsung was committed for the long term to developing its base in Hungary and maintaining its competitiveness.
Important road and railway infrastructure investments were brought up at the talks, but Becsey said their implementation would depend on the government’s fiscal room for maneuver and an increase in headcount at the base.
